Sharing the love.

We recently had a glowing review sent over by a client, and I wanted to share it with you.

"Our Ancom custom kitchen exceeded our expectations! We live in a cookie cutter era where close enough is the standard even in supposedly "high end" kitchen cabinetry. Andy's kitchen's are perfectly plumb, level & precise. The Fit & Finish is the work of a true craftsman. I should know. I have spent over 30 years as a Professional Engineer in Construction Management. Thank you Andy!!

Thanks to the Epsteins, it was wonderful working with you!

A new look for our website is coming.

We're currently working on redesigning our website to make it more user friendly. So, tell us what you would like to see change.
  • What would make our website easier to navigate for you as a consumer?
  • Would you like to see more pictures? Or less to keep it less overwhelming?
  • Is the contact info easy to find or do we need to make that more prominent?
  • Would you like a mobile friendly option?
  • Anything else you can think of?
We're doing this for you so we would love to hear your feedback so that we can cater it to your needs. The customer is always number one so let's here what you have to say! We're very excited about this big change and can't wait to bring it to you.

Here is the current site - www.ancomcabinets.com.

Thanks!

More changes for Ancom!

The latest news here at Ancom is that we have upgraded to a new drawing program. Cabinet Vision Solid 5.0 is a CAD program that works much differently than our previous program, but we believe it will help bring our presentations to a new level.

This program will give us a lot of flexibility in our designs, enabling us to show much more accurate details of what clients will actually see when their cabinets are done and in their home. For example, when a client picks out specific turnings to flank their cook top area, we can insert that exact turning into the drawing. No more using the imagination, you will be able to see exactly what you are getting in the drawing! Attention to detail has always been a very important priority to us at Ancom, and now our drawings will reflect that better than ever.

In addition to the improvements in showing more accurate details, our 3D presentation drawings will be taken to a new level with this program. We are now looking at renderings that look almost like a photograph. Below is an example of some detail renderings done with Cabinet Vision Solid 5.0.
(Pictures direct from their website.)

Look for a new blog update in the near future where I can show off some of our own drawings in Cabinet Vision!

Behind the scenes: Jessica's office.

Jessica's office is 99% finished, so we decided it was a good time to show it off here on the blog. Her cabinets are birch with espresso stain.

Looking into the office:

Primary workspace:
She painted a harlequin feature wall to give some interest:

The bookshelf with lots of design references:

This space has been the perfect office for Jessica.

The walls are BM 2051-50 Tranquil Blue. The harlequin pattern was done with a brushing technique and Pearlescent Tint Base 620-04 from the latex metallic glaze line at Benjamin Moore.

Stay tuned for more updates from our ever evolving showroom and offices!

The Finished Product: Gorgeous Lyptus Wood

It's been a while, but we're still here! A while back I wrote about some green products we were working on. I promised to share pictures of the completed cabinetry, so here they are!

Guest bath, in lyptus with honey stain.

Hallway niche, in lyptus with honey stain.

Pantry, in lyptus with honey stain.

Lytpus is a truly beautiful species, and can be done in a variety of different stains and glazes for a different look each time. In addition to the gorgeous look, by using a renewable wood source you are making another step in an environmentally friendly direction. Every little bit counts!

The new shop is getting some new color.

As we prepare to finish the showroom, we have been painting the surrounding rooms. It's the next step in the facelift the whole building is getting!

Here is the women's room, in BM AF-300 Dinner Party.

Our new office space is BM 684 Shenendoah.

The entries have a terra cotta type color that didn't photograph perfectly, but it's BM AF-225 Firenze.

And the men's room has BM 840 Kensington Blue.

We love the fresh new look in all of these rooms. Stay tuned for more improvements we are making to our showroom area!
